The piece is made up of 6 Polaroid photographs housed in the spent Polaroid cartridges and marked by fortune cookie fortunes. The individual parts were made between 2004 and 2018 and are part of an on going series. The images themselves are modified with special hand tools while the film is still curing allowing for them to be altered beyond just the image being captured.
Lucky Numbers is about the search for guidance outwardly and turning that inward into personal meaning. Each image is paired with a truism in the form of a fortune from a fortune cookie adding additional context and leading the viewers interpretation and connection between each image.
