For our upcoming exhibition, 'EMERGE', we invite LGBTQ+ and Ally artists to submit artwork that expresses the rich tapestry of identity. The artwork should reflect the intricate beauty and diversity of the human experience; for example, exploring a sense of belonging, unity, inclusiveness, intersectionality, acceptance, and understanding. This exhibition is for works of art, both 2D and 3D, of all mediums and is open to both professional and amateur artists who reside in or near Savannah, GA.
All works must be original and available for sale. Please be sure to value your work at its RETAIL PRICE when applying. Artstryngs Gallery will retain 50% commission on all works sold. Artists whose work has been selected will be expected to read and sign the Artstryngs Gallery Consignment Agreement in order to have their work on display for the exhibition. If you would like to read over the agreement prior to submitting work please contact us and we will gladly send you a copy to review!
Each piece entered will be judged individually by Artstryngs Gallery curators and invited guests. Artwork will be selected based on originality, creativity, and alignment with the theme. Please note that depending on the number of submissions, our curation process, and other factors, not all submitted works are guaranteed entrance into our show.
You will be notified by email by Tuesday May 28, 2024 regarding your acceptance status to the exhibition. You will be responsible for hand-delivering any accepted pieces to the gallery during normal business hours beginning Wednesday May 29 and no later than Friday May 31. If you are unavailable during that time-frame to drop off work please contact us immediately to make alternative arrangements, otherwise we will be unable to accept your work. Shipped pieces will NOT be eligible for this show. Please plan accordingly.
Accepted art must clearly reflect the image of the work that was submitted and be ready for display at the time of drop-off. Any framing is the responsibility of the artist and is required for 2D works that are not gallery wrapped canvas. 2D works MUST PROPERLY HANG BY WIRE (see example below)- absolutely no saw-tooth hangers. 3D works must be able to stand with no or minimal assistance, or come with necessary display items (hangers, hooks, stands, etc.). The gallery may be able to provide basic pedestals for free standing works but you are welcome to use your own upon approval.
