Fran Bergamasco

Fran is studying photography at the Savannah College of Art + Design. She grew up in Morristown, New Jersey & now resides in Savannah, Georgia. Fran is an artist who focuses on freezing time. She strives to provoke emotion in all of her images. “I know what it’s like to only have pictures left of the people we love. I know what it’s like to rely on photographs to take you back to a certain time” she says. Fran photographs what she stands for and what empowers her. She photographs what makes her heart drop into her stomach and makes her heart skip a beat.

I photograph what I stand for and what empowers me. I photograph what makes my heart drop into my stomach and makes my heart skip a beat. My work is predomiently LGBTQ+ and feminist based. I explore ideas of girlhood and feminism.
